Yahoo and Hotmail mail wont log in

I cant log into my yahoo and hotmail mail account after the recent updates done for my Tiger 10.4.11. I can get into the www.yahoo.com page, but after writing my username/pass it wont enter! Anyone facing similar problems?
 
What, precisely, happens? Does it just sit there at the login screen, doing nothing? Does it throw an error message like, "Server not responding" or anything?

What browser are you trying with, and, can you try a different browser?
 
Well i enter the login page, i type in my l/p and it wont log me in. After a 15min this msg pops up.
Ive reset Safari, deleted the plist file, emptyed cache and still nothing!
Im on a lan and after testing it in other computers it was fine, problems exist only in my G5! Im using Safari 3.2.1 and Tiger10.4.11
Same goes for Hotmail too. You are my only hope... obi one!

Strange... howabout trying the "Reset Safari" command from the "Safari" menu? This will delete all your cookies and cache and everything, so if there are sites that you're logged into but don't remember the password, this will require you to log into them again.

Also, is the firewall enabled on that computer (possibly blocking certain traffic)?

done reset, about the firewall thing, its strange cause can it only block my logging to yahoo and hotmail?
 
Hmmmm... well, it would block access to all secure sites, so if some work for you and some don't, then that's probably not the culprit.

Do you have any plug-ins or enhancers for Safari installed? Saft? PithHelmet?
 
I'd still try Firefox or another browser. (Haven't read whether you've tried that already.)
