Your MacBook knows what year this is (or knows how to retrieve that info when connected to the internet), so you have a changed setting that tells your MacBook how to display that year in relative terms. Go into your System Preferences/International pane, and check the Calendar drop-down menu. If you have that set for Buddhist, then year 2552 sounds about correct. If you prefer the usual year that most anyone else would normally expect to see, then choose Gregorian calendar. I think 2009 should then show up.....
