Twister

Yeah.. she is! :D

And funny, I had a similar problem, except my Win2K Pro computer kept rebooting every time I connected my digital camera, and it would keep rebooting once Windows loaded and tried to mount the camera until I disconected the camera.
I didn't care to try and fix the problem, I just found a Mac with iPhoto and done! :)

My feelings exactly Matthew! :)
I live in Southern California/Los Angeles - and let me tell you I see all these kinds of people EVERYDAY! If these people where not in the commercials and only people that ubermac thinks should be - I would think the commercials where shot in Poland or something! :D

I know I've sent my real story to Apple, and I'll be damned if I care what people like ubermac think about me if they where to chose me for a commercial! Oh wait... I've already been on a few movies (as an extra)... heh... maybe I should keep quiet before ubermac decides to judge me just by my looks! :p

Yeah but you see they are choosing you not because they think you'd make the best ad, but BECAUSE you are a certain ethnicity. If you were the best person for the Ad, great. But the people who are doing the choosing aren't following that criteria.

I live in SoCal too, and I don't see these people. Just because you say you see these people everyday, doesn't mean you are representative of the entire world.

prove it. you can't.
let's say apple chose all white people. then you'd be complaining about THAT. ditch the negativity.

just because you don't doesn't mean you are the representative of the entire world, either. it doesn't hurt apple to have a broad ethnic representation... it can only help.

I wonder why all of the Switch ads ever made always assume that everybody is using Windows 98 and nothing else exists. Seriously though, everything everybody on these ads is preaching about has been available on XP for quite a while.

unless im mistaken the point ubermac is trying to make is that advertisers are always looking to be PC by including ethnic groups a, b, c and d in their adverts in an even amount. even though 70% of the population could be group a and only 1% group d. this is also known as the 'token black man' syndrome.

and both ellen and janice are munters.

i've at least one report about this thread with the name calling and lack of tolerance. i have to agree. so either play nice or i'll close the playground. :(

and either follow the "petty" rules or you will have to find a new place to play.

I agree. We should all play nice. After all, the real debate should be about which "swticther" is the cutest. See my poll here. :D

Small point, but it's Janie, not Janice.

And I like these ads better than the other set, as a whole.

I think you could easily laugh AT the people, but then they make you laugh WITH them. Isn't that weird? :D

Hamilton Morris is a God! :D :D

Anyone who is prepaired to go on national TV and say that carrying around lots of music makes you feel powerful, has got to have a very quirky sense of humor.

Hehehe.. it made me laugh even more than Ellen's "bummer" comment.
