Thanks Cybergoober, I installed Stuffit Standard 9.01 which fixed the problem. I had Stuffit Standard 9.0 which I believe was the problem.

Really I'll have to try Stuffit again. Before when I would expand a .sit file, the file became empty. I know it wasn't the file either because when I had expanded the file on my old winblows machine all my files were there.

Thanks for replying DeltaMac. I've been using another computer to do the compressing thus far and will continue doing so.

I tried Stuffit Standard 9.0, which doesn't seem to be compatible with Tiger build 8A425. Does anyone know of an alternative app to expand .sit files?
