    looking for reliable voltage converter

Bob, thank you very much for your explanation. One more question: is all this info listed under System Profiler somewhere? I couldn't see where it would say anything about watts (or mention the words "auto sensing"). I must sound pretty stupid, sorry..

    looking for reliable voltage converter

Thanks! So I don't need to worry about getting an 800-watts converter? As opposed to all those inexpensive 100-watts ones sold in every Target store? (Some distributor sites seem to recommend at least 800 watts if you plan to use it with a TV or a monitor, unless it's their evil ploy to...

    looking for reliable voltage converter

Hi I am looking for a durable voltage converter to use with my iBook on a trip from US to Europe. All converters that I found so far say something like "use with hair dryers and other small devices". What about a laptop? Does anyone have any experience in this matter? Thanks dk

    DropZip, DropStuff suddenly stopped working...

    Disk Optimization

When I make a backup CD of such files (before opimizing, that is) - how do they get recorded onto the actual CD - as fragments (collected from all over the volume) or does each of these fragmented files get written onto a CD "in one continuous piece" so to speak? I use Toast for backups, and...

    Disk fragmentation answers

DeltaMac: I read it. But it said that on-th-fly tasks happen to small files (under 20 mb). I couldn't find anything about large ones, like DVD VOB files, etc..

    Disk fragmentation answers

OS 10.3 performs it's automated defragmentation tasks overnight. Would it work if I leave my computer on overnight, but log out?

Check disc fragmentation in Terminal console?

This thread quickly trailed off my original question: is there, or isn't there some magical unix command that I can just type in the Terminal so that it would tell me just how badly my hard drive fragmentation is at the moment.

Check disc fragmentation in Terminal console?

Yeah, but is there any other way to defrag your drive?
