As I mentioned before, I was using a an iMac and Powerbook G4 with Geforce 4.
It runs pretty smoothly on the iMac in OS 9 but crap with the Powerbook which has 384RAM.
I, for one, am not. I dont know about the other games but War3 runs utter crap on my iMac and Powerbook G4. It's all because of the OS.
I mean, my friends Athlon 1ghz with 32 Intel card runs a LOT better than the Powerbook when it has a Geforce4 MX. I can't stand how crappy it runs...
Ok, so I finally get a copy of DW. I reboot into it blah blah blah, and I first do a graph which says like 34% is out of order or wahtever.. so I start rebuilding..and it gets to Step no. 5 (i think) where it says Locating Directory.. You can hear the computer running and stuff so I think...
Yes, CS is amazingly old yet amazingly fun. Even with the outdated graphics, it's still addicting to play. Honestly, i have never gotten so many hours into that game compared to other FPS games..maybe even more than the RTS games!
Tactical Ops is okay but still nowhere near as fun as CS.
I think I have hardware related problems. I switched OSes to 10.2.6 to 10.3 and my computer still has a major slowdown and basically freezes. When the computer is doing nothing, you can still hear it processing in the hardware.
Unfortunately, I don't have my Hardware CD that my Powerbook...
Wow, the same exact problem happend to me too. None of the CDs worked except the bootlegged Panther. =\
So I installed that and even with that installed, the computer freezes up a lot of times. The only way to get it back is to tilt it in some way. Try that way.
Wait so I hold the "c" key while im shutting down or while I'm starting up. Holding down the "c" button while that white apple screen the whole time is kind of annoying. =\
Ok so I got my hands on a copy of Diskwarrior.
I install it and crap but it says I can't fix the start-up disk and I need to boot into that CD. How do I do that?
I go to System Prefs. and Start-up disk but the DW CD isn't there.
Well, the new G5 systems will has either the GeforceFX 5200 or the ATI Radeon 9600.
I was hoping the G5 systems will have better support for gaming but I was deeply disapointed.
First off, why the 5200?! The 5200 is absolute crap. In some benchmarks, it barely exceeds the Geforce4 MX! I'd...
