I know that the Apple OEM superdrive is a Pioneer A05. However, I am curious, will an LG superdrive work as well? How compatible are PowerMac's with regular ATAPI optical drives?

I could not imagine using anything less than a 17" for X. I tried using a 15" (800x600) and I went batty. Currently my 19" is set to 1600x1200 and I love it! =)

I have a QuickSilver 2002 (800MHz). It currently has an included CDRW (24x) I would like to upgrade it. Will LG's 52x24x52 be a simple swap installation?

Unfortunately the Mac is completely wiped out. I have one hard disc, with one big partition on it. I am trying to figure out a way of buring a toast file on my PC. I have the toast file, but the problem is, that Mac CDs use HFS.

I need to actually have the CD readable. My Jaguar CDs have been misplaced (I still have all my registration info). I've fubar'd my partition, and need to re-install the OS but am unable to do so. A friend sent me .DMG and .Toast files of Jaguar, but I do not have access to a Mac to burn...
I bought a QS 800Mhz, and would like to re-install the operating system. Currently I have a CD that says "Mac OS X Version 10.0", I also have a CD that says "Mac OS X v10.2 Upgrade" that is two discs.
