One small issue - the background to the icon is white, so it looks like a white rectangle on the desktop. Is there a way to get the background transparent so it looks like a proper icon?
Hi
I want to use a cat picture as the icon for my hard disk.
It is the cat at the bottom left, shown on this website:

But that is just a .gif image.
Is there a free way to make it into an icon file? Perhaps some kind person could...
I dont have that software on my computer. Do you mean this software:

It seems to be $30 to buy it.
In OSX, if I right click a picture and choose "Save Image As..." I can download it to my desktop.
But a little window appears called "Downloads". It shows the name and location of all the files I have downloaded. Next to the downloaded file's name I can choose "open" or "remove".

I have "Keyboard Maestro" software running on OS X.

I want to be able to switch the number of colors in the display to 256, and then switch back to the 'millions of colors' setting at the press of a button, perhaps using a macro. Why? Because I have a...
I decided to try and upload the .mpg file onto my iDisk storage space. I tried to copy the movie file into the "public" folder of my iDisk, but then the Copy window hanged, and it just stayed showing the message "closing file". Does anyone have any ideas?
When I click the little red button at the top left of an application's window (firefox, iTunes etc.) the window disappears but it doesn't actually close the application, which remains in the dock.
Can I set it so that clicking that red button actually closes the whole application?
Thanks! BTW when I click on the .mpg file, OS X automatically tries to open it with Quicktime, and it can't. How can I get it to open with MPlayer by default?
Oh I figured out how, just make a folder called "movies" and then drag and drop it in there. But it looks like a plain folder icon. Can I give it a fancy icon for movies?
If I click on the hard disk icon on my desktop, I can see a place for "Music" and "Pictures" but where should I put my movie files? How can I make a place called "Movies" in there?
I am using OS X.
