I don't know what is that but that means your Mac has problems. I've run the hardware test and everything's fine. I suggest that you bring it to a local Apple Store.

I can control the Mac from the PC but not vice versa. On the PC I just search for the Mac then enter username and password and I can see files in the Mac but my Mac never sees the PC!

@serenelim: Apple said all their computers would turn to Intel this year so I guess the Mac Pro will come out the same time with Leopard in August. No I have two PCs and they are really slow now, one of them has the pentium 4 processor.

I believe your files are still there, I have had this problem before, I didn't delete but changed the name... Try finding in the "network" in Finder... or try using Spotlight to look for a file to see where it is.

I recommend waiting for the Mac Pro (the Intel version of PowerMac) because you can't upgrade the iMac a lot, it only supports 2Gb of memory. I believe you will need to upgrade your Mac later... and 2Gb is not enough for hard working. DO NOT GET A PC, it will be very slow after a year and...

Oh I've deleted many fonts just to run MS Word! :(

I don't care about running quickly or not, I just want to know the best way to keep the hardware stable.
