I'm having a problem with a USB 2.0 card and I installed USB Prober and in the log, whenever I plug something into the card it's getting errors and will not operate, but does fine with the built in or on the USB 1.1 card. So if anyone here is familiar with USB Prober here's what I get Timestamp...

    DVD drive opinion?

Kinda off subject, but I just ran the patch burn program and now my HP 420 works in the iApps. Nice not having to use toast all the time.

What happened to PC Compatability Cards.

Somewhere in OS 8.something PC card support was dropped, I was discussing this with my wife the other day, if someone would make one that would work with OS X it would be awesome, now that M$ bought out VPC. If they made a card with say even a 1Ghz AMD (I hate intel) on it, I would think it...

    benefit of making powerbook sleep?

I have to agree with Zammy on that, and the other problem I've seen is just the opposite. People treating there book like a desktop, always plugged in. A friend of mine did that for a couple of years with his clamshell, always sitting on the desk, plugged in. Then when he finally did take it...

    Shutdown problems!!!!

Just to clear it up, do it repeatedly until there are no errors reported. Sorry, but my first read through I got stuck on "as long as", to me meaning if there are none reported then go ahead and do it. Just wanted to help.

    XLR8 upgrade

Did you try a slower clock speed in the B&W with the g4? I had a 466 G4 in a beige with no problem, and it's supposed to run at 450 in a B&W, but it would not boot until I dropped it down to 400.

why is there a USB port and a PS2?

The new PS 2's (that include the network adapter) removed the firewire port and include Quad fury 2, a game that has iLink multi player option. Makes sense, uh?

search driver CDMA2000 phone for Mac OSX

If you happen to have a data cable for your phone, plug it in and open Network in your system preferences. It might recognize it, it did with my piece of $h!@ audiovox. Better yet, borrow your friends phone and try it.

    Changing a G4's powersupply?

Well you could just plug in an ATX PS, but it will fry your mobo. One of he wires has to be clipped from the ATX PS and it's supposed to work just fine. I've never done it myself, just read about it on the net. I'd do a google search for it, or check out xlr8yourmac.com, they probably have...

    XLR8 upgrade

Hi, I hate to step on toes, but in my experience that's not the case at all. I've had to put the G3 back in to install X many times and never had to redo the firmware. And I used the patch from xlr8, I don't think there is a difference from the patches from other manufacturers, there might be...
