I have 2 users on my powerbook running osx.3.8 Can i share a common Documents folder with the other user? i dont want to have to duplicate files in each users document folder. pt 2 I want to have one iphoto library that each user uses and shares...possible? thanks. Mitch

yea i ran disk utility. i ended up reinstalling 10.2 i downloaded the 10.2.8 combo update again and tried running it. it worked. now im just doinng my other updates now. software update loads now.

i did that. and each time i run it it says program has unexpectedly quit. i dl'd the 10.2.8 combo update for osx.2. this is a fresh install of osx.2....nothing else is on there. i try and use software update and when i click check now it too tries to load and then says an uexpected error has...

I dont want to mess with them or delete them. i want to change it so i cannot see them. there a bunch of them and it makes it look super sloppy and messy. Is there a way to turn this off? to not see these files? thanks

On my friends mac (os10.2) when i click on finder and view files he has all these random single files. most are half opacity. and files like .ds store & .Trashes. Desktop DB, Desktop DF, .hidden, mach_kernel......... On my mac i dont see any of those. i try and delete some of these random...

thats the view mode i usually use however if you have folders and files together they are still just displayed in alphabetic order. i want folders first....then list the files. like in windoze. i was opening something in a program: file/open i want the listing of things to be folders...

in all my finder and programs i want to view my folders first then the files. right now everything is just alphebeticalized despite it being a folder or file. Can i change this somewhere? its really anoying. thanks
