OK I tried installing it onto a disk image in Leopard but since it was Leopard Intel It expected the disk image to be partitioned with the GUID partition table. What can I do?

It has an option to "Install to disk." Wouldn't this work?

How can you install Mac OS X using Pacifist? I am installing a Leopard Beta on my iBook and I can't get the DVD to boot. So I thought that since I have a image of it, that I could boot my other Mac, boot the iBook into target disk mode, have Pacifist install to the iBook HD, and it should...

Open the Applications folder, open the Utilities Folder, then open Disk Utility. Select the drive, click erase, choose the name and format of the drive, and click erase.

Is it a firewire drive? If so, all you have to do is insert the DVD and hold down the Option button on boot. Select your DVD and you should boot into the installer.

Are you sure the video adapter would work? Apple says it will work with any "iBook without an external reset button" but my iBook appears to have a reset button by the audio/video out port. Also, could I use my iPod Touch to control the entire computer with a program like Apple's Remote App?

I have a iBook G3 that I would like to use for streaming of my iTunes library and videos from other computers in my house. What hardware (video adapters, remote) would I need. I believe that the iBook is a Dual USB model (the kind that shipped standard with a 10GB HD). Thanks, #1 Rhapsody

What happens if you click on the Apple symbol in the top left corner then click on System Preferences... I don't think the system would allow you to delete System Prefs, but I could be wrong.

All you have to do is boot up with the install cd, select your hard drive, and hit update. It will reinstall and you should have a working system.

How long did you wait on the spinning wheel? Sometimes after updates you have to wait a while before it does anything (same thing happens to by iBook G3). If you wait about an hour and nothing happens then you should reinstall. If you do reinstall it will not mess with your installed...

That would be nice if Apple made a kind of a tablet Mac (running Leopard). It would probably be quite expensive though :rolleyes:

Just download a new version of Scratch. I don't know about LimeWire, but Scratch you can just download again.

Try reinstalling Mac OS X with the install disks that came with your Mac.

Anyone know what happened to the Mac OS 7 for iPhone Project? You can read about it here. It was up and running in March and now the site is down. I would really like to find this because they used a port of QEMU :p
