It sounds like your CPU and/or graphics chip is just dated. Running high res video full screen can be pretty demanding.The only advice I can give is to get a new computer.

Thanks Byerly and Neyo. I used the VCD Copy X prog to take the files off, and renamed it to .mpg, and it works perfectly :)
