i found a version of bitchx in .tar.gz format. after i did gunzip and tar it made 3 files: BitchX, scr-bx, and wserv. there is no directorie, install file, or readme. i tried ./configure, make, and make install on each file but i got nothin. thanks for help.

does unix have a built-in portscan utility? i tried man portscan but nothing came up. i know there is network utility that has a portscan feature, but what can i use in the unix terminal? thanks

i set-up a few user accounts for my friends to login to my computer. when they login they are taken to Users/Username but they can navigate anywhere on my computer. how can i prevent them from navigating behind their user folder?

i wasnt particularly impressed with alice. everything looks good but thats b/c it uses q3 engine. the concept is cool, but the game is too boring.

the game is awesome. unfortunately there are some bugs. lots of sound problems. i have a 16mb rage card and i get really crappy framerate b/c the worlds are huge and whatnot. it runs ok but you might want a better vid card. only other bad thing is they have yet to release the multiplayer...

yes i included both frameworks. i got some of the documentation examples to compile and run like particles.c. this one builds w/o errors just warnings and in the run panel i get all these memory leaks or something. but i dont know why.
