I did an archive and install and couldn't open up terminal or login through >console.
before the upgrade, my shell was /usr/local/bin/bash (I installed it). I had to adjust netinfo to use /bin/bash so I can use terminal (as /usr/local/bin/bash disappeared)
try this:
cd
cp -p .profile .bashrc
then run:
ls -a
to see all the files including hidden ones (should see .profile and .bashrc files)
I believe this only works when you are logged in.

looks like this guy has a grudge against DRM and is cracking(?) anything apple puts out in securing iTMS.....to me it sounds like he is asking for trouble.
