My vote goes to Cocktail, also. I do not leave my Mac on at night, so I run Cocktail once per week. Kepps my machine lean and mean.

I have just acquired a dual 2.0Ghz G5 from Apple and tried to run Disk Warrior after a lot of software installations. The DW cd, however, will not start up the G5. Has anyone had this problem before? :)

DeltaMac, do I boot the G4 in Target Mode? How is that done? Sorry to seem like such a doofus. I would boot it in Target Mode, unplug the monitor from it, attach that to the G5 (along with the Firewire cable), then boot the G5 and run the Setup. I assume that this is the way it's done. TIA. :)

All is well in the nation of Jamerica again. After updating with the 10.3.6 Combo Update, i then ran Software Uodate until my software is now completely up to date. I'm back on my mac. From now on I will definitely use the OS Combo Uodates in the future. :D

Me again. My 3rd try with Disk Warrior was also unsuccessful (?). I am now in the process of Archive installing OSX 10.3.3 and then updating with the 10.3.6 Combo updater. Wish me luck.

I just backed up my hd (OS10.3.6) to an external drive with CCCloner, ran Disk Warrior on the HD and attempted to restart. Twice now I have a Kernel Panic. I have run Disk Warrior twice and am still getting a Kernel Panic when I try to boot off the internal HD. I am now thinking of reinstalling...

Do you mean move Firefox from the Applications folder to the desktop? I have done so and am still having the same problem - the spinning beachball and then having to force quit the browser. Thanks for the suggestion. :(

I'm having the same problem with this release as with the previous. When I try to download a picture with this browser, I get a spinning ball during the download and have to force quit the browser. Other than that, it is very quick and stable.Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I did it, BobW. I reset the PMU again and now the G4 is happily humming along. Many thanks for your help. I may have been a bit hesitant when I tried to reset it the first time and may not have pressed down hard enough on the PMU button. This time it worked. Thanks a lot for your assistance...
