ive had similar problems in the past. i think i've logged back in as root, then changed privileges there, and logged back in as myself. i think. just be careful in root, as you dont wanna get rid of anything you need....

sorry i've been away. the lexmark doesn't have an ethernet port, unfortunately (or at least not one i can see with my eyes....) and also unfortunately we havent been able to get it working. so for the moment we've simply been unplugging & re-plugging when we want to use it

anyone know any homegrown good desktop publishing-like software? i dont want anything big or expensive - just something to do our local newsletter on. small and easy like appleworks, but not appleworks...? does such a thing exist?

is there a way i can force my ipod to update straight away, short of unplugging it from my puter then plugging it back in? cheers :D

yea i cant add mp3s either. just convert it to AIFF in iTunes and then u can import normally

something funny happens in my imovie timeline. some clips go all fuzzy (see pic). it usually happens after an undo, and not all clips are affected. is this just a re-drawing issue or what? pup
