Mac mini the first to go Intel?

I like this coversation we are having. Please keep it going. Any educated guess is a good guess. Now I wonder whether Apple would introduce any Intel-inside machines next week when it updates the iBook and the Mac mini?

I think so. What's your take?

    New Mac mini

The first Intel CPU-based Macs will appear within one year--at next year's WWDC--at least that's what Steve promised. My money is on the consumer line-up. As for in which the order, I really have no idea.

Powerbook G5's? - If so, what do we want

Fine, fryke. Wouldn't want to challenge you anymore. After all, what's a man without his work, right? Okay, you win. But they still don't match. Maybe yours do. :P

Powerbook G5's? - If so, what do we want

Dear fryke, My point is exactly that--THEY DO NOT MATCH--and that's why it looks cheap. Just because two things share the same color do not mean they match because there are different level of shade, and yes, even in color. I'm a news correpondent who love attending Apple Taiwan's press...

Powerbook G5's? - If so, what do we want

My upgraded PowerBook G3 currently runs 10 hours on battery--that's with 2 batteries, of course. That's way I cannot let these babies go--even though I already got a 500MHz PowerBook G4 and a 1GHz PowerBook G4. I wish Apple could bring some of Pismo's functionalities and Ti-book cool...

Asus new model an iBook wannabe ...

Did you know that Asus have been helping Apple producing the iBooks? The first time I saw the machine I was impressed. Today, 6 months after I have purchased my first iBook, I still think Asus did a great job making such machine. I think the machine is at least at bar as the current PowerBook...

    G5 Laptop Predictions

WWDC 2005, the earliest. MacWorld Expo 2006, the latest. So it's either June 2005 or January 2006. I do not have any insider information, nor do I work for Apple and its associates. Just Adam Robert Guha's "More than Thermal Issues Hold Up the PowerBook G5" article...

    12" or 15"? iBook G4 or Powerbook G4?

Hope I'm not too late for this. Get the iBook if you want a portable with a 12-inch LCD display, or get the PowerBook if you want a 15-inch or larger size screen. Personally, I think current Al PowerBooks are ugly when compared to previous Ti PowerBook G4s or even the generation before...

New iPods with flash memory could cost as much as HD-based iPod depending on the configuration--a 1GB iPod using flash memory would cost as much as a 30GB iPod and a 2GB iPod using flash memory would cost as much as a 40GB iPod to manufacture--who, then, would buy them? Wish you all a Happy...

An iPod with BlueTooth is--an iPod--too slow. BlueTooth is like USB 1.0 for wireless. A wireless iPod needs a 802.11g, aka Aiport Extreme, compatible wireless connection. It would be neat if any Mac compatible with Airport Extreme, for examples, current line of PowerBook G4, could...

Why did Apple include IE5 with Panther?

Unfortunately, most websites only support Microsoft Internet Explorer. So I use Safari most of the time, but use IE when I encounter websites only made for IE. Best Regards, George Lien
