If you have toast installed, you can export to toast VCD in QT. Also, some good freeware tools are ffmpegX, Missing MPEG Tools, and missing media burner (cdrdao).

I used to have a similar problem but it only affected Classic. I fixed it by disabling AppleTalk in the Chooser. But again, my problem was with Classic, so your situation may be totally different. Hope this helps.

What kind of media are you using (CD-R/RW) and how old is the Mac you are trying to play the CD in? I have a PowerMac 7500 and the drive won't read CD-RW's.

Unless you can find a no cd hack for the game (which I doubt exists because it's an educational game) the only other option you have is to copy the cd to your HD.

I installed the .kext, rebooted, tried to connect and nothing happened. Checked my active network ports in network settings and Internal Modem was grayed out. Anyone else having this problem?

Disk Setup? I have Drive Setup for OS 9 and DIsk Utility for OS X. In drive setup I see no option to istall OS 9 drivers and in Disk Utility the only way to install OS 9 drivers is to reformat the drive.
