Account ownership problems on OSX Server

okay now i've seen some where the numbers are way off - not just 1 digit, but potentially 40 or 50... I dunno why its screwy? I've checked the drive diagnostics, and everything is fine. Still no response from Apple. Anyone else got any ideas? Perhaps even an idea to auto-reset the correct...

Help! Trying to update the PATH variable info

I had the same problem - I did what you suggested with the Path and that fixed the 'Command Not Found' error. But now it does this when trying to run Mysql dyld: ./bin/mysql Undefined symbols: ./bin/mysql undefined reference to _BC expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib...

Account ownership problems on OSX Server

I've since discovered that it is changing the id less 1 - so a user who's id is 1035 might become 1034 effectively changing his folders ownership to the user account prior to his.

Account ownership problems on OSX Server

I'm running 3x OSX Servers with OSX Server (unlimited) on them. All current versions, all patched up-to-date. I've had a problem for some time now, where student accounts change owners by themselves. For instance an account for bsmith (id=2686) might be created. At some point later down...

Okay so how do I get perl to run a shell script then? i could probably manage with that. I've tried getting the perl script to build a shell script on the fly to configure the user account, and the shell script works okay, but I haven't been able to get the perl module to execute it so far...

    Palm Desktop 4.0 final released!

Mine's packed up - worked fine for a while, then would just not work at all. Reinstalling fixed it a couple of times, but now will not go at all. Unplugging and replugging the cradle does not fix it either. Anyone got a solution?

    OSX Server File Permissions Problem

I've found a bizarre problem with file permissions on my OSX server. For no apparent reason, the owners of folders/files are changing to a numerical id. For instance: drwxr-xr-x 11 psharman LANG_Tut 330 Feb 1 15:39 psharman turns itself into drwxr-xr-x 11 170 LANG_Tut...
