Are we talking about a iMac G3 here? The CRT one you can see through? If so, how much total RAM does it have in it? I don't know much about these iMacs, however i know OS X needs at least 256MB to even run at a reasonable rate.

I've seen this problem with laptops before. I'm not sure how it is on the iMac G4, but on PC laptops there is a cable that goes through to the lcd screen. If one of the connections comes loose or breaks, it can cause one or more of the colors to drop out.

I'm able to connect to my Canon i900D on my HP PC over the network, now the problem is here at the Mac. I installed the drivers from Canon's site, but i900D does not show up in the model list under Canon when adding the printer. Even tried with CUPS. Any ideas what's going on here?

Ok. This is bugging me. Everytime I open any finder window it always shows 3 columns of icons, but if I stretch it just a little it shows 4 columns like I want it to, but as soon as I close it and reopen it's back to 3. Any ideas on how to fix this one? (computer specs in signature)...

Go to System Prefrences > International and put whichever you want to use first on the list. EDIT: There are more languages than what's on the list. Click the "Edit List" button to add more langauges that are already installed.

May sound dumb; but are you using a mousepad? Although optical mice work on most surfaces; sometimes certain surfaces will cause the pointer to 'jump' from one location to another all over the screen.
