Would Virtual PC be sufficient enough to ditch my PC?

One is a remote backup utility for a linux server (i use it maybe twice a month) and the other few are minor server management apps as well. But sounds like VPC will do just fine for me.

Would Virtual PC be sufficient enough to ditch my PC?

Right now I've got both my Dual G5 and a PC hogging my desk space. The only thing I use the PC for is to do cross-browser testing of websites and run a couple of pretty low memory apps only available for PC that I have to use. Would Virtual PC be sufficient enough for me to ditch the PC all...

Certain accounts in Mail almost always prompt for a password

Concerning the length of the names/passwords...they aren't all longer than the others. As for all those accounts, they're all for different services so yes, I do need to do that. All of them really do have to stay separated.

Certain accounts in Mail almost always prompt for a password

I have about 15 accounts setup in Mail that get checked automatically every X number of minutes. But there seems to be a bit of a problem. Of those 15 or so, 5 specific ones have a problem with frequently prompting me for the password for each. But what's even worse is that it won't accept the...

I need to temporarily transfer everything to a laptop...

I guess the main thing I'm really concerned about is when I'm back from my trip I'd want to re-sync my now "old" copy of everything on my G5 with the "new" that is on the PowerBook...I'd just hate for things to get screwed up.

I need to temporarily transfer everything to a laptop...

I've got all my apps, files, etc etc on my G5 and have for a couple of years now. This next week I'm going on a fairly long business trip and will be renting a PowerBook for the time I'm gone. Ideally I'd like an exact duplicate of what's on my G5 as far as apps, settings, data, etc etc so that...

Sync "From" to Address Book in Mail?

The "From" in the list view of messages isn't synced to what's in my Address Book. But when I view the actual message, the "From:" IS synced. For instance I might have messages listed like: Smith, John F. December 20, 2005 Dog kennel Doe, Jane G. December 19, 2005 Cat food...

Anybody been able to find Quickbooks Pro 2006 for Mac?

I've looked at probably 20 websites and gone to 4-5 different stores...none of them have the Mac version of Quickbooks Pro 2006. The PC version seems to be in abundance though. So has anybody had any luck in getting the Mac version?

App that will mount an FTP server or external web server?

I still can't believe that Apple would make FTP in the Finder read-only...but as is the case, I'm looking for something that can mount an external FTP and/or webserver. What I'd like to be able to do is open a file in TextMate directly from my webserver and be able to save it and it save it...

How do manage all of your passwords?

I do that for some but at the same time, I don't like the feeling that if somebody figures out one password they might have access to 15 of my sites. And no, that's a pic of Napoleon Dynamite :)

How do remove all of the "Open with..." apps?

You're missing the point here. I'm saying, if I'm right clicking on an image file, I don't want Dreamweaver to be on the list.

How would a mount an FTP server in Finder w/ user and pass?

Well hmph. :) What I'm trying to do is basically create an iDisk sort of thing where I can just connect to my dedicated server in Finder and be able to drag/drop files in there for easy sharing. Know of any way to do this without having to use some external app?
