good idea to zap the pram, no i hadn't tried that yet. Didn't help any though, still getting driven crazy by the spinning beach ball. I'm going to try and stick the external drive into my friends g5 tomorrow to see if it's the drive or the enclosure.

Hello, does anyone know if there is any solution out there that will sync two folders on the saving of a file to a "watched" folder? All I need to happen is when I save a file to a folder, it gets automatically synced to another folder, without me having to mess with it. thanks, rich

Whenever we try and copy files from os x to a pc (win xp) we always get additional files that are named the same thing, except with a ._ at the beginning of it, and it is ghosted out. So if i copy a file named "1.jpg" from a mac over to the pc, there looks like there is two files, "1.jpg" and...
