    Sidebar icons missing in 10.2.8

Thanks, you've answered the question. This guy usually works in my office where he uses 10.4.4, so he is used to the Sidebar. Today he is working in a clients office using 10.2.8 and phoned me asking how he could get the icons back into the Sidebar. The way he described it (with mounted...

Suitcase X1 doesn't quit on ShutDown

Thanks ElDiabloConCaca. So the battery can LEAK power (drained), but can it physically leak i.e. cause a mess on the mother board?

    G4 Titanium dead battery?

The local repair centre is saying that the battery in my 17" Titanium PowerBook (which they tell me is part of the mother board) has leaked due to not being used for 3 months. Is this feasible and if so, two questions spring to mind: If these batteries are capable of leaking, why would Apple...

    Site Suggestions

The site currently lacks cohesion. It would help if there was a benner running right across the top of the page and maybe boxes around the different sections. Personally I find all that black rather oppressive, if you want it to look business like and dark, why not try a dark grey instead.

    making a website

It can be a daunting task, going into website building for the first time. I have found http://www.echoecho.com to be a very helpful site. I soon gave up on GoLive and moved to Dreamweaver and also armed myself with a copy of Fetch - http://fetchsoftworks.com (for moving lots of files quickly...

Don't mean to be a killjoy, but they would be much better if they were embossed rather than what looks like painted. Sorry.

    jpg blurring?

A general rule of thumb: Photographic images - JPG Flat graphics - GIF For photographic images, JPEG compression will produce far smaller file sizes and better-looking images than the equivalent GIF files. But JPEG files require the viewer's computer to do a fair amount of work unpacking...
