I agree....it's unlike Apple to be this sleazy......but it worked for them in my case....I finally bought the damn software to get rid of it. Now I get to complain bitterly about Apple for the first time in 23 years as an Apple loyalist.

Running 10.3.9 on a tiBook. With system audio control at maximum, iChat audio is at acceptable level, but we can barely hear the prompts indicating messages received. We're using video chat to see our new granddaughter, and we don't want to miss the connections. Any suggestions? Terry
