i've got a nice old g3 350 1g ram. i'm trying to find the system requirements for os x server 10.3 or 10.4. With Leopard out that information seems to have fallen off the planet. I'm trying to make sure the farthest i can go on it as a server for just some home needs.

.mkv is now supported by perian. I know this post is old but it will help newer searches for those looking. .ogm on the other hand i can't say for sure they don't say at their sight that it's supported though.

K just installed Panther went to use dvd to watch a movie and it goes to open then just shuts off. I've tried many times resulting in to successes of getting the program to run. I then thought bad install and reinstalled Panther and still got the same result. My guess is like the last time...

well it would be nice if you could say what exactly you wanted installed then besides the bsd. i'm sure there are some things that are additional in 10 that wouldn't be necessary for others.
