shake and tremor are highly professional compositing systems, hard to operate but much more sophisticated than after effects. they focus mainly on highres film postproduction and feature floating point color depth. if they include this engine into fcp it would be incredible powerful.

on my pismo powerbook, 192mb ram, something strange happened. i connected an external firewire hard disk, running 10.1. everything worked well. then suddenly, the powerbook crashed. since then, i could not boot up os x. it freezed at the happy mac screen, the cursor still spinning. in verbose...

... of course i dont want you to get illegal software ;) aftereffects 5.0 runs in classic and can do it too, al well as ae 4.1, which runs only in os 9

renders a standard benchmark project about 20-25% faster than ae 5 under os9. under os9, only a few plugins support multiprocessor rendering. if you use ae5 in osx classic mode and watch the cpu monitor, you can see that mostly processor 1 is used. in ae 5.5, both processors can share the load...

can anyone tell me how to talk to my (irda)-modem through a terminal window (to test it)? can i use the terminal app for it? thank you:confused:

after effects 5.5 can render animated gifs and will be released very soon. (pre-release versions can be found everywhere, too...)

this avi requires the "IV50" codec which probably is intel video 5.0 and is not available for mac. im sorry but you´ll have to use the windows media player...

sad enough that we dont know anything different to do on xmas than to play around in 3d software....

:mad: after updating to 10.1.2 and itunes 2.0.3 on my pismo 400mhz powerbook, i experience the following problems: 1) everytime i click on something in itunes, the mouse cursor disappears. it only reappears when i move it over the dock and switch to another application. 2) after once...

i have it running on a pismo powerbook g3, 192meg. ram and it runs very fast (for that relatively slow hardware, of course) and stable, very smooth multitasking, very responsive gui, im very happy with it.

beta tablet drivers will be posted tomorrow at www.wacom.com/productsupport/mysupport.cfm?platform=macosx the drivers will work only in 10.1 both in normal and classic mode. greetings konrad

does anybody know if there is already a driver for wacom tablets for osx?
