You didn't mention what Mac you're trying this on, but you may want to check with Palm to see if a USB cradle/cable is available for your PDA. I suspect this may have something to do with your problem.

Well, the only little bug I've got now is that; from OS 9 I can choose any of the FireWire partitions to boot from. However, none of those partitions show up in the Startup disk panel for OS X.
