    Can’t get iTunes 11.3.1 MiniPlayer

The new iTunes update fills my entire 27” screen. The red, amber, and green buttons are not visible, and the lower right-hand corner is not available, so I can’t reduce the window size. Even more provoking is the Window menu, where the Minimize and MiniPlayer options are disabled. The only...

    Photoshop 12.0.12 stalls on scans

I use Photoshop 12.0.12 (CS5) on Mac OS X 10.6.6. A couple of days ago I updated the CS5 software, and I believe my current inability to scan might stem from that update. After a cold boot, I'm able to make one scan in Photoshop. Beyond that, when I try to import from the scanner (Canoscan...

    Can't play embedded streams

J.D., Your solution has done the trick -- at least for the time being. I deleted all files with flash in their names and downloaded Flash Player 9 again. To my delight, not only is Safari working properly, but Firefox is playing YouTube videos for the first time in quite a while. Many thanks.

    Can't play embedded streams

One of the first things I did when the problem surfaced was to download and reinstall Flash Player. It made no difference. I also downloaded and reinstalled Firefox, but this, too, didn't solve the Firefox problem. Reloading Flash Player is actually more trouble than repairing permissions...

    Can't play embedded streams

After a second permission repair and restart, Safari is playing Flash streams again. I suspect that I may have to repeat this operation each time I turn on the computer.

    Can't play embedded streams

Satcomer, Thanks for replying. I have to explain that the macox.com folks moved only my first question in an evolving correspondence. I solved my Safari problem the same day I posted the initial question by unchecking Miscellaneaous file formats and RTSP stream descriptor in MIME Settings and...

    Can't play embedded streams

I updated to OS X 10.4.11 with Safari 3.0.4 today. Now Safari won't show the YouTube video player, instead showing a dimmed QuickTime logo with a question mark. I followed YouTube's troubleshooting instructions and verified that in Quicktime Preferences, the "Miscellaneous" option is...

    Aac, M4a In Itunes

I'm running Tiger on an iMac G5. When I download audio files with the .aac extension, the only application that will play them is Real Player. My iTunes plays files with the .m4a extension beautifully, but it doesn't recognize the .aac extension. I find this puzzling. When I select iTunes as...
