Entourage & Secure Password Authentication, possible?

Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to login to a newsgroup (NNTP) server in Entourage using Secure Password Authentication (like in the Windows version of Outlook Express)? I tried the SSL option in Entourage, but that doesn't work. And if it's impossible to do that using Entourage, is...

    What crashes your X?

Not sure if it's an hardware problem or what, but recently I've noticed that if I move my Pismo from one desk to another, or to the couch, then once in a while the mouse cursor would just freeze and I have to do a reset. Has anybody see this problem before?

Something like NeoTrace for OS X?

Hi, One thing I would really like to have running on my OS X is a software called NeoTrace... http://mcafeestore.beyond.com/Product/0,1057,3-18-SN107799,00.html It's a very neat visual traceroute program that would show you a world map of all the nodes in between your machine and the...

    Windows Terminal Client

Hi all, One little thing that I thought might be helpful to those of you who got it built successfully but then got a Connection Reset by Peer, Broken Pipes error when trying to connect to TS on Win2K. It might have to do with the leve of encryption that's setup on the Win2K's TS...

XDarwin and xdm on Mandrake 8?

Hi, Has anyone been able to use XDarwin to connect to the X server on the Mandrake dist of Linux? I've tried this successfully with a Solaris 8: x -query hostname -quartz But issuing the same command again my Linux box only gives me the gray X Window screen with the X mouse cursor...

Does anyone know that Dave3.1 conflict w/ Netbarrier X

Hi, I had the same problem too. I had Dave installed and working, then I installed NetBarrier. And ever since then, every time I tried to use Dave (either to connect to a Win share, or have a Win machine connecting to OS X share), I get a kernel panic, which I think is the same as you are...

    iTunes radio stopped working...

Hi, Has anybody encountered this problem? After I installed the security and IE updates on my 10.1, now I can't connect to the iTunes radio stations anymore!! I can still see the list of stations, but when I double-click on any of them, the "connecting..." dialog box pops up, and then it...

If 10.1 performance sucks for you...

If you are installing using the free update CDs, you need to have OS 9.1 installed first, because the OS 9.2.1 CD is not bootable, and contains only an update installer. It would probably be a good idea if you boot to the OS 9.1 CD and then run the 9.2.1 update.

If 10.1 performance sucks for you...

Cool, clean install does work better. One interesting I've just noticed that is, with the upgrade (clean 10.0.4, then upgrade to 10.1), I got only 1.7Gb of space left on my 3Gb partition. But, with the "Erase..." option turned on for the clean install, now I have about 2.27Gb of HD space...

    10.1 performance on Pismo 500

Hi, Quick question. Will I see any significant improvement with 10.1 if I have more than 640mg of RAM in my Pismo 500? Or will it depend on what app I run? The only scenario where I will need more resource (CPU and RAM) is when I run VPC w/ win2k and the X dev tools... Thanks!! Frank

    Southern California Post Here

I went to the Micro Center down in Orange Couty (55 FWY, off Edinger), and they had many copies of them. The guy said that they had already handed out like 150 copies since the morning. Just ask for it and he will give you a copy, if he still has them left. Didn't ask to see any proof of OS...
