I have to agree with all of the above sentiments. These revsisions are some what underwhelming ("if that's a word"). But lets not forget that none of us have actually HEARD Apple talk about these new machines yet. The FSB will definitely be up to 166Mhz at least on the top two models...

You will not be able to take advantage of QE, but 10.2 will DEFINITELY give you a big speed boost, just not as much as you would see if QE was active. Sorry. I'm in the same boat with my iBook 500 and iMac 600. 10.2 will still rock, though.

Rage 128 users (like me...iBook 500 and iMac 600) will still see major boosts in speed from Jag-Wire. From all reports, it seems everything has been made faster and that the speed boost from 10.1.5 to 10.2 is bigger than that from 10.0.4 to 10.1, regardless of system. I would imagine that...

I agree, my frame rates are also quite measly on my iMac 600 (see below). I mean, 9-12 fps is pretty pathetic! Not that I care about the visuals that much, but its nice to be able to keep up!;)

How can Apple be expected to provide you with disk storage and an email account, and on top of that give you all the new .Mac features, for nothing? Apple is great and all, but they need to make money!
