    Leopard to Feature Redesigned Finder

I can see where you guys come from and I can see how stuff like that can get annoying. Hopefully, many of these issues can be handled with a new version of Finder, one that works with the already wonderful "Spotlight" would be a good upgrade.

    Leopard to Feature Redesigned Finder

Hmm, just started using a Mac and I'm using Tiger, so I've been a Windows person for a good portion of my computer life. I have a question, what's so wrong with Finder, why does it need an upgrade? I just haven't noticed anything yet, but interested in what you guys have to say.

    Best Wireless Router for Mac

Okay, that makes sense, I thought my connection wouldn't go that fast, and it seems 54 mbps will be good enough, I'll probably go with the D-Link and use the $20 rebate, which brings the DI-524 to just $21!!! Good deal, finally I can stop leeching from my neighbors!! I just want something...

New Super-tiny Ipod Is Implanted Directly Into The Brain

Okay, we don't want this discussion to get too religious and philosophical, but just so that everybody knows, I heard this over at Anandtech. http://www.anandtech.com/news/shownews.aspx?i=25109 Go figure, breast implant mp3 players, that's crossing the line.

    Leopard to Feature Redesigned Finder

Well, better start saving my money in order to buy Leopard, a better file system means that we continue to beat Windows in every possible way, lol. Now Windows users cannot complain about the ALREADY easy-to-use File system.

    Dual Core PowerMacs Tomorrow

LOL, that was a pretty good one, I can't see anyone using that much space on the desktop, that's a whole lot of space. That's also a whole lot of $$ too. But, with that quad, you could open up like 50-60 program and just have fun!! :)

    Best Wireless Router for Mac

Well thanks for that information, so my iMac Airport Extreme won't take advantage from any 108mbps router? Also, wouldn't a 108mbps router be good for about 3 computers and an Xbox?

    Best Wireless Router for Mac

I'm thinking about the D-Link router, the one that is 108 mbps and I'm unsure. It's $40 on Newegg.com (BEST SITE, that's with the $20 rebate) and I'm wondering if I should get that. I see a Gigabyte router that is 108 mbps and it's $56. That one looks good, it has the same features and they say...

    Dual Core PowerMacs Tomorrow

I hadn't seen this mentioned anywhere, but according to the Power Mac page and under the "optional Graphics Card" area it says, "GeForce 7800 GT". I'VE BEEN WAITING!! That has gotta be the second best graphics card on the market right now and it's going to rock when it comes out for the Mac...

    Best Wireless Router for Mac

Got two questions here: first off, which do you think is the best wirelss router for Mac? Okay, I understand the Airport Extreme Base is good, blah, blah, I'm not looking to pay $129 right now for a router. So, what routers do you have and what experiences do you guys have with your routers...

    Slow G5?

That's an amazing things I've learned about Mac's, is that those who use them can use them for years, I mean YEARS down the road, my teacher still uses his G3, I use a G3 at work, it's amazing how long a Mac lifespan is. This is coming from a hardcore PC user, I can build and have built Windows...

[HOW TO] rip DVD's to iPod

Yeah I'm glad I found the link and I'm sure iPod users could get some use out of it. I'm perfectly happy with my Pocket PC, the videos turn out beautiful on it, but too bad I don't have a 60GB Hard Drive though. So, crcr2003, anata wa nihon-jin desu ka?

[HOW TO] rip DVD's to iPod

I do not have an iPod, I have a Pocket PC with 640x480 resolution, a 16MB video processor and it plays video pretty good. HOWEVER, I stumbled upon this little tutorial that might be good for some of you guys, it's purely Mac OS X based. Here's the link...

    Slow G5?

Being a hardcore PC user, I know exactly what you mean, because I was going to spend the money that I spent on this iMac here, on a Athlon 64x2 4400+, PCI-E 7800GTX, X-FI Creative Sound card, 2GB system with a 550 Power supply, and just over clock the 4400+ to 4800+ speeds. I agree that AMD...

    Doom 3 Demo

Well considering Doom 3 is one of the most CPU-GPU intensive games on the market right now, YES! You'd probably have to have the GeForce 6800 Ultra or Radeon X850GT for your Power Mac. I'm not even going to try it with my iMac G5... Supposedly though, Mac is supposed to upgrade the Power...

    Slow G5?

You've got a nice Windows rig, however Mac systems run differently, of which I am trying to learn about. I've used Windows for many years and didn't like Mac's, now I just recently bought a iMac G5 with a 2.0 ghz processor and it's really fast. It is dependant upon the programs that they had...

    new PM G5

That's certainly possible, but it takes up space on the back when you only have two USB 2.0 ports that can be used. It's all according to personal preference and how bad you want an IRda Apple Remote with your older iMac. I just wanted to make clear that the Apple Remote doesn't work with older...

    new PM G5

Exactly, just so that this is clear: I TALKED TO A APPLE GENIUS AND SAID ONLY THE NEW iMac's HAVE A IRda PORT. ONLY THE NEW ONES, us older users cannot buy the Apple remote and use it, so Front Row will probably only be for the new iMac G5's.

    iMac G5 Memory Configuration

Thanks BobW, being new here, I just learned you are pretty knowledgable! Thanks soo much, that's exactly the answer I was looking for, and that's exactly what I want, just gotta save $230 for that 2x1GB Platinum OCZ Ram that's 2 CAS Latency!

    iMac G5 Memory Configuration

I know that the Power Mac G5's have to have dual-channel configured memory. For instance, you have to buy (when purchasing RAM) 2x512 set or 2x1GB set because of the dual-core processor. However, can you put a 2x1GB set on an iMac G5? MORE IMPORTANTLY, will the iMac benefit from a dual-channel...
