Dancing red pixels on LCD monitor after startup

Definetly something wrong, because all 3 of my lcd monitors don't do that, nor have i ever seen one that does. I believe i have seen something like this before on my dad's 20" dell lcd. They are horizontal pixel trains that are about an inch long and kind of "dance" around in the left corners...

will this work on my g5

30 bucks is great for that after the rebate, but G5 can't use that. Sata drives are numerous and you should get a 200gig one for under $100 in most places.

    Itunes... who designed this?

Microsoft products do suck, except for their games. Still Apple could have done a much better job making a program that has at least a little functinality. I mean, Anapod, you can just drag the file into Audio Tracks, and it will put it on the ipod. You can remove, rename and organize it all in...

    electric shock

Hmmm... did your roof get blown off by a hurricane? Because a computer not working after a rain storm from a shock is something i have never heard.

I use Firefox anyway but of course i know that in Windows! Still making the window smaller, in addition to being annoying, does not it bigger, but just more cramped.

    Itunes... who designed this?

Wow... Anapod is amazing! All you have to do is drag the files or import them right into a window, and it's done! It totally blows itunes out of the water... what were they thinking (or smoking) when they designed itunes? Too bad it's not free... i have to get the full version to transfer more...

    Itunes... who designed this?

I just am tired of it now (on PC). You can't do anything that a normal program lets you do, you can't drag and drop (which is apple's idea) and you can't just copy and paste songs into the ipod. I'm fed up with this, it is a disgrace toward Apple. Anyway, my main problems? How do you get songs...

    Forum now all screwed up?

Thanks nix. It gets annoying on my 20 inch monitor to have it all so small and the forum navigation put on to two lines. However, legacy view changes nothing. What else is it?

    Forum now all screwed up?

What's with it now? Avatars are missing, the width of the forum is so small i have 60% grey screen on both sides of it, and all the text and posts/advertisements are all crunched up. It looks sloppy and cramped now. What happened?

Using IMac G5 screen for a PC?

Dell makes a 20" screen for under 500 (maybe a littme more) that is really great. I don't think you can do that with the imac.

    Displays and dead pixels

You are right. Apple doesn't seem to get the concept of full screen and it's usefulness. I wouldn't pay a cent for that, it is something that [almost] all programs need by default.

    Displays and dead pixels

VLC media player does play MP4 files, but i haven't tried it. I have used VLC and it plays almost ANY media file available to consumers.

    Capture card for powermac G3

Yeah, newer OS's and software don't like or work well with old machines. A simple marketing technique to get people to buy new ones...

    Displays and dead pixels

Just download QT and play it. However you can't use full screen without paying for the full version, but why do that when there are plenty of better players out there for Windows? It works well and all you do to overcome that is move the window over the pixel.

imac g4 memory upgrade - apple slot

What kind of ram is that or what slot is that? I don't ever recall ram slots needing heat transfer material since they don't get that hot. Are you sure it's not just the heat spreader?
