yesh tried all that, its a werid one have no idea why it wont let me select the optimum resolution for my second monitor......but then again i got the first batch of macbooks that had all the heat problems, I rang apple, they wont exchange it they have had it about 3 times and not realy fixed...

I never used to switch my powerbook off, just used to close the lid and let is sleep until i wanted to use it again... Now i recently got a new macbook pro and have treid the same strategy, but it doesnt quite work the same. Its very sensitive in sleep mode, sometimes i have to close the lid...
