    Yeah... (iChat Rant)

Well, iChat is buggy crap. It crashes for everyone I know, and there IS no way to edit your profile. It's pretty pathetic, if you ask me. So I guess what I am saying is, is Apple EVER going to complete this? It's far from complete--direct connections don't work for pictures (jpgs, gifs)...

    Itunes Jumpy Playback

I have over 8GB of music on my HD, with loads of RAM and extra disk space as well, but my problem comes when I try to change to a different song. It will lag everything I am doing on my machine for 2-3 seconds before iTunes comes to the front, and changes the song AFTER I press the next button...

    Jaguar Icons

There is a way to change icons of most everything (including trash, finder menu icons, etc.) CandyBar... Which is available at www.panic.com and iconfactory. Hope this helps.

    10.2 unstable

In response to the Mail.app "breaking" I think it's a bug somewhere in the system prefs/ or mail.app. Solution: you have to enter in all your accounts again (it works for me), and if you have a mac.com address, you need to erase the info in the internet prefpane, and enter it all in again...

    10.2.1 stable

that's what I'd like to know. Obviously if he were a developer, he wouldn't be on macosx.com forums, there are developer forums at apple and various other developer forums. And if he were a developer, he'd have to sign a NDA, which would mean him talking about updates would be violating his...

    iChat ... Do you?

Getting info on buddies is also annoying, you have to go through a lot of hassle to get to it. The buddy list is nice, no complaints. My only real complaint is the lack of customization. AOLIM and Adium have customization up the ying yang, and iChat has very little. I don't liked the brush...

Networking a PC with a Mac

I use a PC to type papers and such, (not to mention download music) and I was wondering if there is any free way (i.e. not buying DAVE or whatnot), to network them to transfer files. The PC has no CD burner, and I don't want to buy one for it. I already have a router at home, and it's...

    Is Jaguar worth the money?

Maybe if it was a bit more polished and clean, (less buggy), it might be worth it. That's a pretty big if though. I consider most of the things included in 10.2 as things that should have been included in the intial release of X, and I think this should have been at least 50% if not less than...

    iChat buggy?

Maybe I am overlooking something, but is there a way to update user info? I don't see an edit option. Also, the first few problems I have all the time--although they happen less frequently than they first did, it is still disappointing to me, I was really looking forward to iChat.

Doing a clean install; do I *need* Mac OS 9 for anything?

Before I get 10.2, I'd like to do a clean install and wipe everything and start clean. I don't ever use classic and right now it is pretty much a waste of space. My only reason for keeping it on my drive is that there is no easy way to uninstall it without getting conflicts with OS X, so I...
