Have just bought a new Aluminium wired keyboard for my 17" iMac core duo (1st generation intel iMac) running Leopard.
Pressing the option key during boot does not bring up the optional start screen to boot into Windows.
Pressing the C key to boot from an install CD does not work either.
Once the system is booted, all keys are visible in the keyboard viewer and functional.
This same keyboard works perfectly with a Macbook that has a core 2 duo running Leopard.
My previous keyboards worked fine (A white Mac corded, a wireless Logitech for Mac and a Microsoft Natural keyboard.
Could it be a firmware issue?
If this were a Windows machine, I would have to say that the BIOS is not recognizing the keyboard.
Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
