Browsers crash frequently

Hey guys,

My mom and I have the exact same Macbook Pros (10.6.5) but while mine works perfectly, her browsers crash all the time. She's tried, Safari, Firefox and Chrome. We are connected to the same internet so we know it's not a problem with that.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

Is she viewing lots of sites with Flash content? Does she have any Safari plug-ins/add-ons? Do the crashes occur with any sites in particular?

I don't think she has any add-ons, nor does she view sites with flash. The one site it seems to have a big issue with it Netflix, although it works fine on my computer.

Run some software maintenance on her Mac. Download either Yasu or Maintenance and run all the cache cleaning routines. Let the program reboot your Mac when finished and then upon the restart immediately manually reboot again to completely rebuild the startup/shutdown system cache.

Also look at her overall network setup. If she is using ethernet is CAT 5E or CAT 6 cable. If she is connecting through a wireless setup make sure her wireless router is transmitting either on the G frequency or N frequency (and all her devices can reveice whatever wireless frequency/security).
