Dates in Finder (Get Info) do not display well

In my Finder, the dates are not displayed correctly in a file "Get Info" window (under 10.3). I see only the day of the week, the month, the year but not the date itself...

I do not care about knowing that the 5th of January was a Monday... But I need to know the file was created the 5th! How can I change the format of the date displayed in this window ?

It seems a strange behaviour... is there a preference pane somewhere to change it?

Thank you,

Olivier

I would suggest to check your "international" settings in System Preferences. If everything is ok there, trash your finder plist (..home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist)

After trashing the prefs, it came back OK.
Thanks!

Back in OS 9, there was a feature you could enable/disable called "Show relative dates" which would disply, for examply, "Today" if the file was created/modified today, "Yesterday" if yesterday, then start counting dates beyond that. If you turned it off, it would always display the date in all cases.

I've looked far and hard through OS X and can't find anything like that.

Just thought I'd post that. :p

Sure, it's there!
If you show a window in list view, then select view options, you'll see the option to show relative dates
