Firewire - 800 or 400?

I have a Powerbook G4 which I got about 2 years ago - I cannot
remember if the firewire is 400 or 800 - how can I find out?

If you have an aluminum powerbook (not a titanium), both 15 and 17-inch models have both firewire 400 and 800 ports. The 12-inch PowerBooks have just FireWire400

Wouldn't it show you this under the System Profiler?

I would think so but I'm not sure if I understand the description given under
"Firewire Bus" which says Max speed up to 800 Mb/sec - ?

I have a 15" powerbook, which I think is an Al not Ti, so probably there is
Firewire 800.

Yep, you have FireWire 800.

Yep -- that's what the "800" at the end of FireWire 800 means -- 800Mb/sec. Likewise, FireWire 400 has a maximum of 400Mb/sec throughput. Easy, eh?
