flip4mac installation error

Hi,

I cannot play media player files online so I tried installing the flip4mac pluging. But I got the following error, "The movie could not be opened. Mac OS error - 1409".

From what I can find - this error is usually fixed by updating your OS X system. You posted earlier about a 10.4.9 update?
Have you already updated to 10.4.11?

Do you have a PPC Mac, or an Intel Mac?

Flip4Mac is junk in my opinion. Download and install VLC.

Flip4Mac works well with MacOS X 10.4.11. Because it is a QuickTime codec, it will enable Windows Media in most QuickTime-compatible Mac applications. That is most Mac applications. OTOH, the OP's system will not run the latest version, VLC 1.1.0. He will be limited to VLC 0.9.10.

I strongly recommend that the OP run Software Update until his system is fully updated.
