After I watch Japan movie that I setup region 3. Then I changed back to region 1. Then I couldnt burn DVD or CD. What's wrong?

I have G5 Dual 1.8ghz with superdrive and 1 gb rams. 10.3.5..

Any idea..

A region change may have some risk, as any firmware update might. That could change the ability for DVD burning, but I don't think the region change should affect CD burning. Have you tried an nvram reset?

No I have not tried reset pram yet. When I put blank CD or DVD. It didnt show up message "You inserted a blank CD. Choose what to do from the pop-up menu" Nothing happen when I put different CDR or DVDR nothing. So I went to other G5 machine work fine. Umm...

I am going to zap pram if it helps.

Try this:

Open System Preferrences, then "CDs & DVDs." Make sure those options are set to do what you want them to do when you insert blank media.

I have mine set to "Ignore," so when I put in a blank CD or DVD, it does what your system does: nothing. At least until I open iTunes, Toast or Disk Utility to burn the CD/DVD.

After I zapped pram then I inserted CD-R also DVD nothing happened.

Only problem that I have is that I cannot burn CD and DVD on any burn program such as Toast 6 Titanium. When I open Toast and insert blank cd it didnt show anything on it.

It able to play the DVD movies and musics.

What do you mean by, "When I open Toast and insert blank cd it didnt show anything on it"? Toast won't do anything when you insert blank media... only when you hit the "burn" button.

If you make a playlist or drag and drop data files into Toast, insert a blank CD-R, then hit the "burn" button, what does it do?
