Get info about sidebar-objects

Hi!

Working with smart home solutions and networks. Most of the time someone chosed to use DHCP.

Does anyone know how to find out the IP-address of a server that pops up in the sidebar?
Show info does not display that kind of info.
Are there any network commands for this?

I'm not sure about a command to network scanning. I just use a shareware product called iNet.

In the Terminal, type:

ping servername

...where "servername" is the FQDN (name) of the server.

ping servername would work i tha name was registred in a DNS, but this is just the name MAC OS displays i the sidebar. Don´t know where that comes from.
