O.k.. im trying to open a file but get a window saying 'The document cannot be opened. Script editor cannot open files in the "script editor document" format.
Do i need another application to open these types??
If so ....what is it:)
If no.....what next?

We need a tad more info.

Tell us about the file.
What do you think it should be?
Where did you get it?
What is its extension (if any)?
What does a "get info" (hi-lite and press command-i) tell you?

hola
the file extension is .exe
a friend of mine gave me the disk
get info says "script editor document"

oh, that's a windows exectuable, you can't open it on a Mac unless you have VirtualPC, a quite expensive application that can emulate a windows environment on your Mac... if you tell us which kind of application is that one, maybe we can tell you which kind of app you need on a mac for that use...

That is an PC program. Did he tell you he sent that file to you? I ask this because it maybe a virus from a Trojan on his computer.

Ditch it. iTunes plays MP3 and AAC files. Download and install Microsoft's Windows Media Player and you have WMA covered except for the DRMed tracks.
