how to mount a file

hey mac folk! I need to mount this dmg file and haven't a clue how to go about doing it to be honest. I first need to decompress it and I have downloaded stufflt to do just that, but now I need to mount it and do not know how to do it

Anyway advise will be appreciated, thanks a lot, tom

Click on the desktop so the word Finder is in the menu bar. Click on that word and open Finder's Preferences. In these Preferences make sure you checkmark all the boxes under "Show these items on the desktop".
