There would be several ways to. The easiest is would be mount the iMac on your Powerbook in Firewire Disk mode then copy away to your Powerbook music folder (in your Home folder). Well, iTunes then should find the music library. If it doesn't just direct it to the folder.

Yes, if all you would like to do is copy the files over, just grab the iTunes folder from ~/Music and copy it over to the same place on the PowerBook.
If you wanna MERGE the files on the two, you'd probably have to rebuild the library, but for a straight copy, it'll work. I back up my iTunes library constantly and all I do is back up the iTunes folder in ~/Music. Works like a charm.
