Safari does not recognize anything to do with Keychain. Is Safari not "keychain aware?"
Desired endstate was to have keychain automatically input the userid and pw for this website and others like it.
System Panther 10.3.7, Safari 1.2.4
Never attempted keychain or File Vault back when System 10 first came out due to extreme warnings to avoid both like the plague. Assuming that maybe Keychain, at least, won't hose the system, I revisited Keychain under System 10.3.7. Nothing, nata, Safari doesn't interact with keychain at all. I still won't go near File Vault due to the horror stories.
Why didn't Apple make Safari "keychain aware?" If it "is" keychain aware, how do I troubleshoot (the keychain and safari help files are no help). Unable to find definitive troubleshooting steps in Ted Landau's book either.
I'll very much appreciate your comments and insights. I highly appreciate all the hard work being carried out on MacOSX.com website.
Cheers,
Adonsa
