i installed my printer fine and now on lion seem to have some problems.. the software seemed to install but didn't show up in available printers and usually wireless showed up .. pressed to print and the printer icon comes up but doesn't print, says printer is busy n its ok
 
connected with cable and tried to print and said : Missing component: /Library/Printers/Lexmark/Drivers/.Resources/4800 Series Color 2.lut ..the component for printing is missing
 
When you connected to USB make sure you set it up to get onto your wireless network. Use the included software and plus once you connect to it via USB check Apple's Software Update to make sure you have the latest Apple drivers.
 
How do i set it up 4 wireless? my wireless aint connected anywhere.. plugged into usb and it looked 4 network n couldn't find it..says bout that component and can't print, what cud i do 4 that?

Lexmark supports the Lexmark x4875 under Lion for wireless printing.
 
couldn't connect to my network..found it- my wireless network but needed a password and i put none and it didn't work.. didn't know which setting to do and I've not set up a password 4 my router so didn't know what to put in that box
 
thanks will download and nope I'm in the uk .. hopefully wireless would work.. so i shouldn't need to put a password in when setting it up wirelessly?

It doesn't say "Lion." Select Macintosh as the OS and MacOS X 10.7 as the version.

You should need a password only if the network requires a password. If it does, then you will be prompted for the password.

That is strange!

Look for all the software Lexmark provided you. They would have included some kind of software that you can get into the printer's wireless setup to join your wireless network.
 
it found my router said bout a password i pressed none and it set setting up your printer but then failed so had to click on use with usb something like that so couldn't complete the wireless set up, i had the plug plugged in from the printer, would that have made a difference or not?
 
What wireless security are you running? What wireless frequency (a, b, g or n) is your router running? What is the wireless capability of your printer?
