If you're asking if I have ever seen a cracked LCD, then, yes, many times.
When using an external display, and the internal screen is not working - you have to leave the lid closed on the MacBook. That allows the external display to work as the primary display (usually known as clamshell mode). It should then be obvious that you also need an external keyboard and mouse. When first turning that configuration on, you would press the power button, then immediately close the lid.

no when it is all turned on working with the external it brings up the desktop background picture with absolutley nothing on the screen except the mouse arrow just the apple image 1 blue screen for tiger no icons no toolbar no mac hd picture take all the icons and toolbar off the screen with the desktop background picture and that's what i get forget the cracked screen part i told you about it's coming up on my monitor fine that's how I was able to see this happening .l

(Please try to use just a little punctuation, as your post would be much more understandable to someone else)
You didn't say if your MacBook has the lid closed, or open.
Do you see the background picture on your external display when the lid is opened, or with the lid closed? Be sure to restart your MacBook Pro for both the lid open, and closed.

The reason this is happening with your external -
When connecting an external display, the video defaults to an extended screen. It will not show a menubar, because it is not the main screen. You won't see any icons, or a Dock. You _can_ move an icon, or even drag a window, from your internal screen to the external screen. That should be working, assuming that your MacBook Pro is completely started up.
The reason you want to leave the lid _closed_ with the external display?
The system will now only see one display (your external), and you should see the menubar, dock and your other icons. But, the lid has to be closed for that to work.
Did you try that yet?

This is what I did. I started the macbook then connected the adatper ,closed the lid and put it asleep , threw in a usb memory stick and it kicked on the screen but i'm using it without a external keyboard or mouse just with the keyboard and mouse on the laptop is this ok ?

How can you be using the keyboard and mouse (trackpad?) of the laptop while the laptop is closed?

ok but is it ok to use the keyboard and mouse on the laptop and not a external one with the screen open and black like it is. Everything is working on the external monitor.

Everyone is telling you that, because your screen is broken.
So (one more time) - use an external keyboard and mouse with the lid closed.
So, you may ask, "why is that better to have the lid closed?"
The answer - the internal screen will be off then, and the external screen will be the only screen recognized by the system. _That_ means that you will get menus/Dock, and all your desktop icons - all without fighting to get at your system settings when your original built-in screen is not working properly.
There's only one time that you have to open the lid. If you turn off your laptop, the power button is inside, eh? Open the lid, press the power button, then close the lid. And... there you go!

Maybe it's easier to understand the other way 'round:

If the internal screen is broken and you open the MacBook, the MacBook *thinks* it still has the internal screen and uses it as your main screen.
