After my 10.6.4 update the other day, via auto updater, every Microsoft Office program (WORD, EXCEL, etc) will not open. It tells me to check with the developer to make sure that Microsoft Word/Excel/etc works wtih this version of Max OS X. Here is the problem report - I would appreciate any help!

Can you post a screenshot of the error messages that says exactly this? That seems like a strange error message -- one that I've never seen before.

That log is not showing the version number correctly for MS Word. I think that you should uninstall, then reinstall your Microsoft Office 2008 from your original Office disk, then run the Microsoft Autoupdate to make sure that your Office is up-to-date.

Hey, Gang...

For me, ever since my upgrade to 10.6.4, Microsoft Office X applications would crash upon startup...but not when I would double click a document. Realized that it was a problem with the Project Gallery. Then I found this thread:

Removing the 3ivxVideoCodec.component from my MacintoshHD/Library/QuickTime folder solved everything, and I can now startup and use the Project Gallery with no problems!

Hope this helps! :)
