New MacPro & Windows XP

I recently set up XP on a new MacPro 2.8ghz, however the keyboard doesnt seem to recognize a majority of the inputs.
When trying to install multi-disk software or burn and encode movies in XP it wont let me eject the disk.

Is there a specific Bootcamp version that does allow this?

other simple inputs such as the volume keys do not input aswell.

hm...kind of bizarre since all apple computers now ship with leopard + bootcamp?

thanks, however didnt work too well, as Im using a MacPro not MBP; with the new aluminum Keyboard.

The keys also do not function in 10.4.10, even though the system requirements ask to have it installed.

hm really bizarre for a keyboard lol.

no I have not, im just weary of updating drivers in XP as it good mess up something, however...are those known to fix the issues with the aluminum keyboard?

thanks!

Well, yes, installing the Boot Camp drivers will then enable the eject button on your Apple keyboard, along with the network cards, your sound chip, and a few others. Very worthwhile to have your eject key work. And, the big update for Boot Camp fixes some issues that you might be having with your MacPro.

well i have the 2.0 bootcamp drivers and the aluminum keyboard but none of the volume keys, eject key, or print screen work.

2.1 didnt seem to solve it.

Don't know what might be the difficulty, but did you try the drivers from your Leopard install DVD again?
Also, (not to get too picky, but anyway) there's no key on your aluminum keyboard labeled 'print screen'. Which key are you referring to?

well on my acrylic keyboard that came with my previous gen macpro works fine (volume, eject, print screen aka F14 or F15)

on my 2.8ghz macpro w/ aluminum keyboard - i tried bootcamp 1.2 drivers, 2.0 drivers (with my leopard install disc) and the new 2.1, i haventheard any responses on other forums regarding a fix for this yet.

i know its pretty mundane in the sense but it just seems rather odd that a system with this keyboard and the advert of the included bootcamp windows support lacks the functions. unless its working for others maybe my OS is crippled. even though i did two fresh installs on a 2.66ghz MacPro and a 2.8Ghz MacPro.

hm

thanks again for your information, help & time. I appreciate it.
if anything ill just revert to the acrylic for now, no biggy but wasnt sure if I was missing something as far as drivers go.
